Manager - Supply Chain

About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-driven Supply Chain Manager to manage the comprehensive supply chain activities for our retail operations. The selected candidate will be tasked with maintaining optimal inventory across both stores and warehouses, ensuring superior service levels, reducing inventory costs, and boosting operational efficiency. This role includes close collaboration with merchandising, buying, planning, warehouse operations, logistics, finance, and retail teams to guarantee smooth product availability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop data-backed supply plans to maintain key targets such as Days on Hand (DOH) and Days of Cover (DOC), working to minimize stock shortages and slow-moving items for better working capital management.
• Work with merchandising and planning teams to align supply with forecasted demand; manage replenishment cycles for stores and warehouses, adjusting for seasonality, promotional activities, and product launches.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement; monitor supplier performance metrics such as lead times and fill rates; oversee inbound and outbound logistics to enhance dispatch and receipt efficiency.
• Support retail operations by planning inventory distribution based on store performance, minimum base quantities, and sales trends; handle inter-store transfers and assist with new store rollouts.
• Engage actively in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings; promote continuous process improvements and automation initiatives in partnership with buying, retail operations, and finance departments.

Performance Metrics

• Operational: On Time In Full (OTIF) deliveries.
• Financial: Improvements in working capital, inventory turnover and aging, forecast accuracy, as well as logistics and carrying costs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: An MBA or PGDM specializing in Operations or Supply Chain is strongly preferred.
• Experience: 4 to 5 years of supply chain experience within retail, FMCG, e-commerce, fashion, beauty, or consumer goods sectors; proven capability managing multi-location retail operations.
• Technical Skills: High-level expertise with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced formulas); familiarity with ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is advantageous.
• Core Skills: Deep understanding of supply chain principles including demand forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capacity; excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional teamwork; adept at juggling multiple priorities, adapting to evolving business scenarios, and thriving in fast-paced environments.
