Founded by Mr. Radhakishan Damani and family, the first store opened in Powai in 2002. The chain has since expanded to 503 stores across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, and NCR. ASL is headquartered in Mumbai and owns several brands including D Mart, D Mart Minimax, D Mart Premia, D Homes, and Dutch Harbour.
Job Overview and Responsibilities
This position, based at the circle level and located in Mumbai, Pune or Bangalore, involves managing maintenance operations for electrical and HVAC systems across multiple stores to minimize asset downtime. The successful candidate will supervise resolution tracking of store issues and ensure adherence to preventive maintenance schedules. Responsibilities include overseeing all preventive and breakdown maintenance activities through Maintenance Managers, promoting safe work practices in stores, managing vendor relations and negotiations, and coordinating store handovers between Projects and Operations. This role also requires guiding and leading maintenance teams across various locations.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
The candidate should hold a BE/B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering and possess 9+ years of experience in electrical maintenance within a large organization, preferably leading a team. Experience should include exposure to HVAC and plumbing systems along with proficiency in handling equipment installed in DMart stores. Candidates must demonstrate skills in managing multiple sites, directing multiple breakdown resolutions, and maintaining a vendor base. Strong communication abilities and leadership skills are required, along with the willingness to travel.
