Logistics Manager

About the Role

This position requires physical presence at the company's Brecksville, OH facility, with a schedule typically entailing four days on-site and one day with flexible remote work. The role demands frequent travel to the location as a prerequisite.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement strategic policies and operational procedures to enhance transportation efficiency aligned with customer business goals.
• Establish and maintain strong partnerships with carriers, as well as internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
• Evaluate carrier performance metrics regularly, identifying areas for ongoing improvement.
• Oversee auditing and payment of freight bills across diverse transportation modes.
• Optimize network routes and shipping patterns to achieve strategic and cost savings.
• Lead and manage direct reports, ensuring a cohesive and effective team.
• Manage profit and loss outcomes to meet financial targets.
• Serve as the primary liaison for customers, ensuring excellent service and communication.

Additional Duties

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
• Availability to work primarily on-site at the Brecksville location with one day of remote flexibility.

Skills and Abilities

• Effective team-building and management capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with familiarity in Microsoft PowerBI preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced Excel and Word skills.
• In-depth understanding of transportation logistics, including LTL and full truckload operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to maintain professionalism.
• Capable of problem solving with strong organizational aptitude and effective task prioritization.
• Leadership qualities including motivation and interpersonal effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required; a bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred.
• At least three years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, or related fields.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience leading direct reports.
• Advanced knowledge of transportation and warehouse logistics operations, as well as safety and security regulations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range from 75,000 to 85,000 USD.
