Logistics Lead

About the Role

This position leads logistics planning and execution for MERG projects. The job focuses on moving materials, equipment, and people safely, efficiently, and economically between fabrication yards, warehouses, and offshore locations while meeting legal obligations, HSE standards, and project timelines. It also involves coordinating with both internal stakeholders and external partners to keep shipping and delivery plans accurate for existing and new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound, outbound, and transshipment activities, including preparation of shipment invoices and related documentation.
• Administer inventory control at the warehouse facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone.
• Coordinate with overseas vendors, customers, freight forwarders, and carriers regarding pickup schedules and delivery dates.
• Track suppliers and customers to make sure shipping documents are submitted correctly and on time.
• Recommend practical and cost-efficient approaches for shipping and warehousing operations.
• Supervise 3PL warehouse activity, maintain accurate stock availability reports, and ensure weekly fulfillment of stock allocated to UAE stores.
• Check that all products shipped to operational territories comply with regulatory requirements.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives to reduce annual freight and warehousing spend.
• Work with government bodies and product testing agencies to support product registration with local municipal authorities whenever needed.
• Coordinate courier partners to ensure timely delivery of e-commerce orders.

Requirements

• Comfortable performing under pressure while building strong working relationships across all levels of staff.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior experience dealing with the Far East region.
• Background in inventory control and logistics operations management.
• Good knowledge of the freight forwarding sector.
• Familiarity with GCC customs and compliance requirements.
