Role Overview

This position calls for a skilled Logistics & Facilities Support Officer to manage logistics functions, facilities coordination, and stakeholder relationships within a defence context. Responsibilities include facilitating seamless logistics and maintenance operations, ensuring security compliance, and supporting asset management while maintaining operational readiness.

Key Duties

  • Assist logistics operations comprising consignment dispatch, acceptance of supplies, inventory verification, handling security documents, and managing supply chain tasks.
  • Organize facility maintenance efforts, including processing service requests, scheduling preventative maintenance, and managing contractor access permissions.
  • Support procurement processes for maintenance services, assets, and consumables while ensuring precise record keeping.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to aid operational goals, including transport coordination, movement planning, and governance of facilities.
  • Deliver logistics, facility, and security assistance, including participation in on-call security duties when required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong abilities in stakeholder interaction and relationship management.
  • Proven aptitude for autonomous work, proactive problem-solving, and prioritization amidst competing demands.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Prior experience in Defence-related logistics, facilities management, supply chain, or operational support.
  • Exposure to Defence Enterprise or Explosive Ordnance environments is highly beneficial.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Valid NV2 Security Clearance is essential; Possession of a PV clearance is advantageous.
  • Capability to work onsite in New South Wales.
  • Australian citizenship is required.
