Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise coordinators and support teams responsible for accurate data entry and management across various business units, including carrier, customer, vendor, inventory, and shipment databases.
  • Oversee daily operations of the leased fleet and associated Pilot/Copilot staff, ensuring effective dispatch, maximizing equipment use, managing revenue, and resolving Pilot/Copilot-related issues.
  • Maintain consistent communication with Pilot/Copilot personnel to verify timely execution of schedules, proper use of log books, and compliance with operational protocols.
  • Ensure key operational goals are met in areas such as quality—including food safety, hygiene, and temperature control—statutory compliance, and delivery turnaround time.
  • Lead efforts to optimize network routes and lanes through transportation management systems, selecting carriers based on cost and delivery performance per agreed tenders.
  • Manage fleet safety and compliance matters, including Pilot/Copilot qualifications, background checks, drug testing, adherence to service hours, maintenance of log books, equipment standards, medical examinations, accident reviews, and licensing.
  • Coordinate recruitment and orientation processes for JFL-employed and contracted Pilot/Copilot staff.
  • Take responsibility for direct performance monitoring, talent growth, succession planning, and engagement of team members.
  • Deliver coaching and training focused on personal safety, environmental responsibility, and community engagement.
  • Head cross-departmental Transportation & Logistics projects and communicate business initiatives effectively throughout the organization.
