Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Specialist to join our client's team on a contract basis, working remotely. This role involves providing expert legal guidance, particularly in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, while ensuring compliance and managing risks in an ever-changing application-driven landscape.

Key Duties

• Carefully review, draft, and negotiate contracts to maximize business benefits and minimize risks.
• Perform comprehensive legal case analysis and research to offer practical recommendations.
• Assist in litigation and dispute resolution efforts by preparing necessary documents and supporting both internal and external legal counsel.
• Evaluate regulatory compliance and participate in due diligence related to corporate activities including mergers and acquisitions.
• Create system prompts and rubrics for legal software applications, managing multi-step conversational interactions with agents to maintain task precision and coherence.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal practices and communications.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop or improve legal tools and applications by applying your specialized knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of legal frameworks, corporate law, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in contract examination and negotiation across diverse legal areas.
• Experience in analyzing cases, assessing risks, and conducting thorough due diligence.
• Practical experience providing litigation support and handling dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with attention to accuracy and clarity.
• Strong dedication to confidentiality, ethics, and integrity in all legal dealings.
• Experience contributing to or creating legal applications, tools, or systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing AI-driven or legal-focused conversational agents and rubrics.
• Background in producing digital legal products or applying legal expertise to technology solutions.
• Skill in managing complex multi-turn dialogues and system prompt development.
