Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and prepare varied legal documents such as commercial contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, and service contracts.
• Offer precise and pragmatic legal advice to clients on complex corporate and commercial transactions, including recommendations.
• Analyze complex legal documents, summarize key points, suggest necessary changes, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Assist in legal due diligence and support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
• Prepare legal memoranda, pleadings, and briefs for commercial dispute litigation and alternative dispute resolution procedures.
• Oversee legal workflow management, develop task plans, monitor billable hours and progress, and efficiently use document management and time-tracking software.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research related to Saudi laws, regulations, and judicial rulings.
• Create legal articles and newsletters to enhance institutional knowledge and facilitate client communication.

Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Law or Sharia is required; a Master’s degree (LL.M) is preferred.
• At least five years of substantive experience working in respected law firms or corporate legal departments.
• Strong proficiency in legal drafting in both Arabic and English languages.
• In-depth understanding of Saudi legal frameworks, Sharia principles, and commercial business laws, including local and cross-border issues.
• Practical knowledge of corporate law, compliance requirements, commercial contracts, and litigation/arbitration protocols.
• Experience with legal technology tools for managing documents and tasks.
• Excellent communication, presentation, teamwork, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Capability to deliver timely, accurate legal counsel, analyze intricate transactions, and formulate innovative legal solutions.
