Position overview
Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) is inviting applications from appropriately qualified professionals for the role of Lecturer in its Business School. GCTU, previously known as Ghana Technology University College (GTUC), is now a public university established under the Ghana Communication Technology University Act, 2020 (Act 1022). As a technology-focused institution, it is committed to delivering higher education in Information and Communication Technology while also providing a supportive environment for teaching, learning, research, faculty growth, and academic achievement.
Available departments
Applicants may apply for Lecturer positions in any of the following Business School departments:
- Management and Human Resource
- Accounting, Banking and Finance
- Economics
- Marketing
- Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Application instructions
Candidates are expected to indicate both the rank and the department they are applying to in the subject line or title of their application letter. An example provided is: “Application for the position of a Lecturer in the Department of Marketing.”
Applications must be submitted online, and applicants must also deliver ten hard copies of the application package either in person or via courier to the Registrar at GCTU, PMB 100, Tesano-Accra. The application pack should include the application letter, a detailed CV, copies of certificates, transcripts, and appointment letters for the current rank.
Qualification and documents required
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a discipline relevant to the area they intend to teach. In addition, the names and addresses of three referees are required.
Key duties
The lecturer will be expected to carry out teaching, student supervision, research, community engagement, and faculty development duties appropriate to the Lecturer rank in a public university in Ghana.
Conditions of service
Compensation is aligned with the Single Spine Pay Policy and is comparable to the terms of service offered by public universities in Ghana.

This position is based in Tesano, Accra.
