Role Overview

Lantern is recruiting a Learning & Development Specialist to join our Member Experience & Enablement team, headquartered in our Dallas, Texas office. This role primarily focuses on training for the Cancer navigation program, while also providing support for Surgery and Infusion services. The position demands strong facilitation skills, hands-on instructional design expertise, and passion for developing personnel within a fast-moving healthcare environment. This is an onsite role; remote work is not available, and no travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead training efforts for the Cancer navigation line with additional backup responsibility for Surgery and Infusion teams.
  • Design, create, and deliver training programs including new hire onboarding for up to 20 participants and ongoing skills enhancement.
  • Monitor trainee progress, maintain performance documentation, and provide structured feedback to supervisors at key milestones.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to keep course materials current amid evolving programs and workflows.
  • Utilize needs assessments, customer feedback, and training results to evaluate and refine curriculum continuously.
  • Manage training projects from inception through post-launch evaluation, adhering to established protocols and schedules.
  • Incorporate AI-driven learning tools such as AI-supported role plays and call analytics within the training framework.
  • Partner with the Quality team during quieter times to conduct call coaching sessions to foster ongoing performance improvement.
  • Maintain consistent standards across all training materials and job aids.

Candidate Profile

  • Formal background in Instructional Design with experience applying ADDIE or SAM methodologies for course creation.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems administration or navigation.
  • Understanding of call quality assurance frameworks and ability to translate findings into actionable training steps.
  • Experience leveraging NPS, member satisfaction, or customer voice data to inform training designs.
  • At least two years facilitating corporate or contact center training, or a degree in Adult Learning or Adult Education.
  • Familiarity with Articulate or similar instructional design software.
  • Excellent multi-project management capabilities in high-volume, dynamic settings.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and editorial precision.
  • Effective relationship builder across teams and subject experts.
  • Initiative to identify training gaps and propose solutions proactively.
  • Interest or comfort working with AI-assisted learning and call intelligence platforms.
