Our Food Division

Role Overview
The Lead Auditor will be instrumental in establishing and expanding QuantiLAB's Certification Business Unit in Southern and Eastern Africa, operating between regions such as the Cape and Mombasa. This role merges in-depth auditing expertise with an entrepreneurial drive to cultivate long-term certification partnerships, reporting directly to the Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial initiation and expansion of certification services, analyzing target markets, generating client pipelines, and securing enduring partner relationships.
- Perform comprehensive food safety and quality certification audits—including HACCP, BRCGS, Global GAP—adhering meticulously to accreditation standards.
- Leverage and build relationships with food sector stakeholders including growers, producers, processors, and retailers to establish QuantiLAB as the preferred certification provider.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the certification offerings and align with regional business objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Microbiology, or equivalent; higher qualifications or certifications in food safety management are advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional language is beneficial.
- At least five years of experience performing food safety audits and certifications, demonstrating proficiency in third-party audits against HACCP, BRCGS, Global GAP, ISO 22000, or similar standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety certification protocols paired with a commercial mindset to spot and develop business growth opportunities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven leadership and management skills, capable of inspiring and guiding high-achieving teams.
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-moving, global context with multiple competing tasks.
- Attributes include humility, enthusiasm, rigor, and a passion for practical, field-oriented work.
- Experience in applying AI technology professionally or familiarity with AI products is a plus.
