Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Lab Chemist to conduct routine chemical evaluations of zinc and micronutrient fertilizer products. This position involves testing both raw materials and finished products to verify adherence to internal benchmarks and regulatory standards.
Primary Duties
- Carry out quantitative chemical analyses including zinc (soluble and total), iron, chloride, lead, and other impurities, along with moisture and pH levels.
- Utilize standard laboratory techniques such as EDTA titration, volumetric and gravimetric analysis, and other wet chemistry procedures.
- Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials and final zinc products ensuring alignment with Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) and company specifications.
- Detect and report any deviations from quality norms promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive laboratory documentation including test logs, batch reports, and Certificates of Analysis.
- Ensure accurate labeling and traceability of all test samples.
- Prepare chemical reagents and standard solutions while upholding laboratory cleanliness and safety standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is mandatory; Master's degree preferred.
- Proficient knowledge of titration and wet chemistry methods.
- Familiarity with zinc and micronutrient analysis techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and meticulous record maintenance.
Compensation and Work Details
Monthly salary ranges from INR 40,000 to 60,000. The position is based onsite at Nasirabad, Ajmer, Rajasthan, with a flexible working schedule offered.
