KYC Analyst

About the role

Albany Beck is a recognised consultancy focused on technology, risk, and compliance work for the financial services sector. Its client base includes leading investment banks, asset management businesses, hedge funds, and fintech companies.

The firm is expanding its KYC team and hiring across multiple projects in Ireland that need additional support.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out KYC checks for both new and existing clients in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
• Gather, examine, and verify customer documents needed for onboarding and recurring reviews.
• Build and keep KYC files current, complete screening checks, and spot any warning signs or possible risks.
• Work closely with internal contacts such as Relationship Managers, Compliance, and Legal teams to clear document issues and keep cases moving on time.
• Refer elevated-risk or unusual client cases to the correct escalation route.
• Stay informed about changes in KYC/AML rules and updates to internal policies.
• Assist with client onboarding and ongoing CDD activities.

Candidate profile

The preferred candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a KYC or AML position within financial services. They should understand KYC and AML requirements for more complex structures, including Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), Trusts and Foundations, Investment Funds, and Regulated Financial Institutions. Familiarity with frameworks such as FATCA, CRS, and AIFMD is expected. Experience with client onboarding platforms and compliance tools such as World-Check, LexisNexis, or Refinitiv will be an advantage.
