About the Role
Join the Holiday Inn Bristol - Filton kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter, playing a vital role in ensuring kitchen operations are efficient, safe, and well-maintained. Your behind-the-scenes contributions will support food quality, hygiene, and service flow, creating a positive experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils thoroughly and swiftly
- Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and organisation in all kitchen areas during shifts
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and handle waste and recycling responsibly
- Assist with simple food prep tasks like peeling and chopping vegetables
- Receive, verify, and correctly store food and kitchen supply deliveries
- Help with kitchen opening and closing procedures
- Clean cooking appliances and work surfaces to meet hygiene standards
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety protocols consistently
- Work cooperatively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen service
- Promptly report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety issues
