Candidate Profile

• Possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and motivation.
• Previous experience is favorable but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of food preparation processes.

Key Duties

• Maintain the kitchen porter area by setting up and organizing daily tasks in line with standard operating procedures, food safety rules, allergen protocols, cleaning standards, and departmental risk assessments.
• Promptly address health and safety issues such as floor spills by using appropriate signage, resolving problems, or informing management.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to uphold health and safety responsibilities.
• Complete opening and closing checklists to ensure readiness for upcoming shifts.
• Follow instructions and directions from the kitchen leadership.
• Perform basic food prep tasks as assigned by the kitchen team.
• Communicate with senior chefs to monitor stock levels of cleaning products and ensure adequate supply.
• Take pride in all tasks, aspiring to personal standards of quality and cleanliness.
• Work cohesively within a busy kitchen team, communicating effectively and maintaining composure under pressure.
• Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, adhere to health and safety guidelines, and comply with COSHH regulations.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately during tasks involving chemicals or as required.
