Junior PHP Developer

About the Role

Main Responsibilities

• Create and enhance features for rapidly evolving digital products using up-to-date web technologies.
• Manage and improve the overall system architecture covering frontend, backend, databases, caching layers, and APIs such as comparison interfaces, result display pages, and completion workflows.
• Optimize and scale the platform within a service-oriented architecture framework.
• Ensure high code quality via daily peer code reviews and automated testing processes.

Requirements

• Proficient programming capabilities in at least one language, coupled with a keen enthusiasm for software development.
• Hands-on experience developing with PHP; familiarity with modern PHP frameworks like Symfony or Laravel is advantageous.
• Competence in working with relational databases, version control systems (Git), containerization (Docker), and Linux shell environments.
• Experience using AI-driven development aids (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Gemini, Windsurf) is considered a plus.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a systematic, quality-focused work methodology.
• Fluency in both German and English, both spoken and written.
