Role Overview

The Junior Motion Designer will help create and deliver motion content for artist campaigns, storefront experiences, and digital marketing work. This position sits inside a Creative Pod and reports to a Senior Motion Designer or Motion Lead. The role is centered on turning approved creative direction into polished, platform-ready motion pieces that support storytelling and commercial goals.

You will work alongside Digital Designers, Creative Directors, and Content Production teams in a collaborative, structured environment. The role is well suited to an early-career motion designer who wants to build craft, strengthen technical skills, and contribute to music-focused digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce motion assets for social, CRM, paid media, storefront, and campaign channels.
  • Bring typography, layout, and graphic systems to life through animation.
  • Help build motion toolkits and flexible templates that can be reused at scale.
  • Adapt concepts into different platform formats and aspect ratios.
  • Work with senior motion talent to improve timing, transitions, and visual flow.
  • Combine video, photography, and graphic elements into unified animated deliverables.
  • Prepare files for handoff while meeting platform and technical requirements.
  • Keep project files well organized and follow established production workflows.
  • Apply feedback from creative leadership accurately and efficiently.
  • Track new motion trends, tools, and shifts in digital culture.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of motion design experience, either through internships or professional work.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and familiarity with Premiere Pro.
  • Solid understanding of typography, composition, and visual hierarchy.
  • Basic grasp of animation fundamentals such as timing, easing, and pacing.
  • Experience making motion content for social or other digital environments.
  • Comfort taking direction, revising quickly, and collaborating in a team setting.
