Role Overview
The Junior MEP Engineer position is a full-time, on-site role located in Doha, Qatar, at Tawar Mall. The engineer will primarily assist in the design, execution, and upkeep of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across the mall’s infrastructure. This requires supporting coordination efforts for various ongoing projects, reviewing technical drawings, aiding installation and commissioning procedures, and monitoring system performance to ensure maximum efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential support in daily operation and upkeep of MEP systems in the shopping mall environment.
- Assist in coordination activities related to MEP integration for both operational and project-based work.
- Carry out regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks for HVAC, fire safety, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Monitor system performance and report any technical issues encountered.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance records, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with senior engineers, contractors, and facility management to resolve technical challenges.
- Support with the preparation of technical reports and documentation to aid in maintenance planning and optimization.
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Have between 2 to 4 years of experience working on facility or maintenance-related projects.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly for reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and safety compliance in retail or commercial facilities.
