Role Overview
The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for delivering meaningful business insights by analyzing complex datasets and developing reports. Working under the guidance of a Data Analyst, this role involves collaborating with multiple departments to answer queries from management and improve decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop reporting packages and data models using Excel technologies including Power Query, PowerPivot, and Power BI to extract actionable insights from raw data in partnership with various teams.
- Create dashboards and visual reports to enhance understanding of business operations and performance metrics.
- Maintain, improve, and streamline existing reporting tools and packages.
- Collaborate with department heads and supervisors to identify reporting needs and provide relevant insights.
- Present data findings clearly to stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
- Perform data cleansing and validation to guarantee accurate and reliable reports.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong aptitude in mathematics and IT.
- Capability to independently manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while working under pressure with urgency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills appropriate for all organizational levels.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledgeable in data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience with programming languages like Python or SQL is advantageous.
- Completion of a Level 3 Data Essentials Apprenticeship or Level 4 Data Analyst qualification is a plus.
Educational Requirements
- Grade 4 or above in A-Level Mathematics or an equivalent qualification.
- Grade 4 or above in English GCSE or equivalent.
