Role overview

Home Group is hiring a multi-skilled joiner to work across its North East properties, carrying out practical repair and improvement work that helps customers feel proud of their homes. This is a permanent, full-time position focused on varied day-to-day trade work rather than repeating the same tasks.

Pay and working pattern

The role offers a salary of £34,603 per year. You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically between 08:30 and 16:30. The job is based across the North East and involves spending most of your time travelling between properties. A van is provided for business use and commuting, along with a fuel card.

What you will do

• Deliver joinery repairs, maintenance and refurbishment work to a high standard.
• Resolve jobs fully in one visit wherever possible to reduce repeat appointments and delays.
• Use mobile technology to log job information as you work.
• Look after van stock, tools and equipment in a responsible way.
• Work safely and follow health and safety procedures at all times.

What Home Group is looking for

You should hold an NVQ Level 3 in joinery or carpentry and bring hands-on experience in joinery repairs, glazing and UPVC work. The role also suits someone with ability across other trades, a practical and adaptable mindset, confidence using technology, and the self-motivation to work independently. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.
