Job Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and upkeep of floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Handle chemical cleaners and powered cleaning equipment properly to avoid surface damage.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, conference rooms, hallways, and entryways.
• Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal, including using compactors when necessary.
• Clean windows, glass panels, and mirrors with appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
• Conduct spot cleaning of carpets and assist with deep carpet cleaning such as extraction and shampooing.
• Restock paper and sanitary supplies as required.
• Adhere to a housekeeping schedule consistently.
• Use heavy-duty cleaning machinery like floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers occasionally.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by client requirements or team needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or at least six months of prior janitorial experience.
• Willingness to receive on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial roles.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and custodial procedures.
• Understanding of floor care practices, including buffing and waxing.
• Experience with industrial cleaning or building maintenance is an advantage.
