Role Overview

Royal London Ireland seeks an IT Support Analyst specializing in Protection to join the Application Services team in Dublin. This role involves providing expert application and technical support for essential Protection business applications, ensuring their performance and stability in a business-critical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced support and troubleshooting for vital business applications, resolving complex technical incidents.
• Monitor application performance and maintain operational stability.
• Collaborate closely with Operations teams to understand system usage and business workflows.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, known issues, and support resources to facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Gain in-depth understanding of application features, integrations, and data flows to serve as a technical subject matter expert.
• Work with infrastructure and platform teams to diagnose and resolve cross-functional technical problems, particularly involving cloud and data integration.
• Support SQL-related tasks including data analysis, validation, and resolving data-related issues.
• Assist with changes at the environment level and implement technical enhancements.
• Identify root causes of recurring problems and develop sustainable fixes to improve system reliability.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives around systems, processes, and service delivery.
• Support project teams by ensuring operational readiness and smooth production releases, verifying the supportability of new solutions prior to deployment.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in application support, technical operations, or similar roles.
• Proficiency in SQL and data investigation techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and infrastructure environments.
• Competent at troubleshooting issues spanning applications, databases, and underlying infrastructure.
• Analytical, methodical problem-solving approach with strong attention to detail.
• Accountability for issue resolution ownership from detection through closure.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
