Job Overview
Vallum Associates is seeking a full-time Investment Analyst based in Greenwich, CT to support the origination, evaluation, and acquisition of distributed generation solar projects and portfolios. This role involves building detailed financial models, conducting investment analysis, and performing thorough technical and financial due diligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and assessing solar distributed generation projects and portfolios for acquisition.
- Develop comprehensive financial models and conduct rigorous investment analyses.
- Support due diligence processes covering both technical and financial aspects.
- Participate in negotiating transaction documents such as purchase agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), site leases, and term sheets.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, construction, legal, and finance throughout project development and closing phases.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, investors, and strategic partners to facilitate deal flow and partnerships.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of one year experience in project finance, investment analysis, or financial modeling.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and conducting due diligence.
- Superior analytical skills complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Background in renewable energy or infrastructure is advantageous but not mandatory.
