Inventory Management Executive

Role Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Inventory Specialist to oversee stock management at our high-end saree showroom. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, managing the flow of stock items, and facilitating coordination among sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure adequate product availability.

Main Duties

• Keep comprehensive and accurate records of sarees including silk, cotton, designer, bridal, and handloom varieties.
• Manage the processes of stock receiving, dispatching, transfers, and returns.
• Cross-check purchase invoices against physical stock and update inventory databases regularly.
• Systematically label, categorize, and organize sarees by type, price, color, and design.
• Perform routine physical stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Track sales velocity of items, identifying fast and slow movers, and produce detailed management reports.
• Implement measures to avoid losses, damages, or discrepancies in inventory.
• Liaise efficiently with sales staff, warehouse personnel, and suppliers for effective stock planning.
• Utilize inventory control tools such as Excel, ERP, or POS systems for record keeping.
• Generate inventory status reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience as an Inventory Executive, Store Keeper, or Stock Manager, preferably in retail environments.
• Proficient in retail inventory software and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational capabilities.
• Competent in handling extensive SKU volumes.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Graduate or Diploma holder preferred.
• Experience in textile or fashion retail sectors is advantageous.
