Inventory / Logistics Manager

Overview

Ryder is seeking an Inventory / Logistics Manager for its Supply Chain Solutions in Opa Locka, FL. This role requires leadership of inventory control operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficient warehouse execution. The position demands a flexible schedule and offers an annual salary of $95,000 plus a 10% bonus, paid twice monthly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage both salaried and hourly warehouse employees, overseeing performance and adherence to company policies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and clients to understand and fulfill operational requirements effectively.
• Manage payroll, accounts payable, vendor quotations, and customer invoicing related to account operations.
• Monitor financial performance through weekly and monthly P&L analysis and prepare reports for management.
• Conduct safety and security meetings, provide training, and enforce compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Administer the warehouse inventory cycle count program, perform inventory audits, investigate discrepancies, and improve inventory accuracy.
• Develop the inventory team and promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational productivity.
• Support process improvements and uphold customer service performance metrics.
• Maintain knowledge of transportation and warehouse logistics operations, ensuring safety and security protocols are met at an advanced level.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work variable shifts and extended hours as needed to support business demands.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• At least three years of relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management.
• Minimum of two years managing and leading teams with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and data-driven decision making.
• Bilingual English and French skills are beneficial for Quebec locations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transportation and warehouse logistics with advanced understanding of safety and security requirements.

Additional Information

• Employment is exempt salaried with payment twice a month.
