A reputable residential developer based in South Dublin seeks an Intermediate Project Quantity Surveyor to enhance its expanding commercial team. This role offers a significant chance for a Quantity Surveyor to take project ownership while collaborating with experienced colleagues on major residential construction projects. Key Responsibilities
- Support the commercial management of residential building projects from initial stages to final account settlement.
- Develop cost plans, budget outlines, and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee procurement of subcontractor packages by preparing tender invitations, evaluating bids, and recommending selections.
- Administer subcontractor accounts, including valuations and payments.
- Generate monthly cost reports and assist in forecasting financial outcomes.
- Track project expenditures while identifying potential commercial risks and benefits.
- Evaluate and price contract variations appropriately.
- Contribute to the preparation and finalisation of project accounts.
- Coordinate with site management, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain budget compliance.
- Ensure adherence to contractual and company procedures throughout project duration.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
- Between 3 to 6 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector.
- Experience in residential projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor procurement and cost control.
- Strong communication and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a commercial team.
- Meticulous organisational and attention to detail skills.
