About the Role
NHS Supply Chain is seeking an Instructional Designer to join our People Experience team at Nottingham, with a hybrid working arrangement. This permanent role offers a starting salary of £40,767, with potential progression to £47,962 over three years. The successful candidate will contribute to our transformative journey by designing inclusive, engaging, and effective learning experiences to support NHS staff development and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality learning materials applying adult learning theories and instructional design frameworks to create engaging content for diverse delivery formats including face-to-face, virtual, and e-learning.
- Utilize various authoring tools and platforms to produce blended learning solutions and continually innovate instructional strategies.
- Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content relevance, alignment with organizational values, behaviors, and strategic priorities.
- Effectively manage timelines, resources, and deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.
- Implement mechanisms to evaluate training effectiveness through data analysis and feedback, using insights to enhance learning outcomes.
- Champion inclusive learning practices, ensuring accessibility and equity in development programs.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in work culture and capability-building to maintain forward-looking educational solutions.
Skills and Expertise Required
- Deep understanding of instructional design standards and adult learning methodologies such as ADDIE or SAM.
- Proficiency with digital learning authoring tools including Articulate and Adobe Captivate.
- Strong project management skills for coordinating multiple learning initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with various business partners and subject experts to co-create impactful learning content.
- Competence in using learning analytics and feedback data to continuously improve educational programs.
