Role Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Development (NPD) projects through the full stage-gate framework, from conception to market introduction.
- Innovate product and business ideas grounded in market research and customer insights.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback including Voice-of-Customer initiatives.
- Direct and manage complex cross-functional projects ensuring compliance with schedules, budgets, and milestones.
- Prepare and present innovative concepts, business cases, and decision-making documents.
- Carry out risk assessments and formulate appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Support product launches, conduct training sessions, coordinate participation in trade fairs, and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Monitor post-launch product performance to implement continuous improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Academic degree preferably in engineering, materials science, or business administration.
- Multiple years' experience in project management especially within technical fields such as construction, infrastructure, or mechanical engineering.
- Competence in New Product Development with familiarity with stage-gate procedures is advantageous.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, quality assurance, and business case financial calculations.
- Basic knowledge of plastics manufacturing methods including extrusion and injection molding is beneficial.
- Entrepreneurial mindset focusing on innovation, marketing, and engineering aspects.
- Strong communication and persuasion abilities with proven teamwork in cross-departmental environments.
- Fluent in German and English languages.
- Willingness to undertake around 10% travel, for example attending customer or project meetings.
