Program Background
Operating under TechBuzz Hub is the Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program (GPAP), a practical training initiative providing graduates, career changers, and holidaymakers with a chance to gain two years' worth of work experience within three months. Participants benefit from mentorship, coaching, exposure, and networking opportunities, significantly enhancing employability. The program allows earnings during training and offers an approximately 80% chance of job placement post-completion for committed individuals, welcoming only five participants each monthly cohort.
Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Human Resource Trainee based onsite in Kampala to support various HR functions. Key duties involve assisting in HR management tasks such as recruitment, employee records maintenance, employee benefit administration, orientation facilitation, policy implementation, personnel management, employee relations, and broader HR projects and initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Academic background in management or related disciplines is sufficient.
- Knowledge of Human Resources, HR management principles, and HR policies.
- Familiarity with employee benefits administration and personnel management.
- Understanding of recruitment procedures and employee relations.
- Interest in technology innovation and enterprise development.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent communication skills.
- Capability to perform independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Pursuing or completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent fields.
- Experience in a startup or innovative environment is advantageous.
