Role overview
This HR Specialist opportunity is being shared for a partner organization, which will handle applications and all subsequent hiring steps. The role is open to candidates based in Germany and is fully remote. You will support the full employee journey, from onboarding to exit, while helping keep HR operations efficient, accurate, and compliant with applicable employment regulations.
The position blends HR administration, employee support, HRIS administration, and workforce reporting. It is well suited to someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, people-oriented, and motivated to improve HR processes in a fast-moving global environment.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the main HR contact for employees with questions about policies, processes, and general employment matters.
- Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, orientation, offboarding, exit interviews, and employment records.
- Maintain the HRIS by keeping employee information, workflows, permissions, and organizational data current and accurate.
- Assist managers with employment documents, policy interpretation, and everyday HR guidance.
- Track HR workflows and look for ways to improve efficiency and system effectiveness.
- Prepare regular and on-demand HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analyses to support business decisions.
- Create executive-level presentations that summarize important HR metrics, trends, and organizational insights.
- Keep personnel files and HR documentation organized while supporting compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support a positive, compliant, and employee-focused workplace.
- Handle sensitive employee information and HR matters with professionalism and strict confidentiality.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, including HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience is especially valuable.
- Good knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance practices; exposure to multi-state workforces is an advantage.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including reporting, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage several priorities at once.
- Solid interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service abilities with a collaborative working style.
- The judgment and professionalism needed to handle confidential and sensitive situations appropriately.
- Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR, experience in high-growth or technology settings, workforce analytics expertise, and familiarity with fintech or cryptocurrency are all considered advantages.
