Overview
Join BSI in New Delhi as an HR Generalist to contribute significantly to people and organizational development. This role involves comprehensive HR responsibilities across one or multiple countries within a global matrix environment, aiming to deliver consistent and high-caliber employee experiences while adhering to local labor regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as the main HR contact for employees and managers in assigned countries, handling a broad scope of HR issues.
- Oversee full HR operations such as onboarding, contract modifications, benefit management, leave tracking, payroll coordination, and offboarding processes.
- Ensure precise maintenance of employee records and country-specific HR files within HR systems.
- Provide initial guidance on HR policies and employee lifecycle queries.
- Assist managers with routine HR procedures and best practice recommendations.
- Coordinate payroll data inputs and support the monthly payroll cycle activities.
- Support employee relations processes, including triaging and escalating complex issues as needed.
- Keep updated on local employment laws to ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.
- Implement regional and global HR projects such as leadership programs, system upgrades, and performance management processes.
- Develop strong collaborations within the People team and wider business to ensure a smooth employee experience.
- Participate in HR projects and contribute to continuous process improvements and enhanced ways of working.
- Offer guidance and daily operational support to local HR Administrators as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of HR experience in a generalist or operational capacity.
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, HR policies, and people management processes.
- Experience functioning within global or matrixed organizational structures.
- Proficiency with HR or Human Capital Management (HCM) systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, managing multiple simultaneous priorities effectively.
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when dealing with confidential information.
- Sound problem-solving skills with effective judgment application.
- Fluency in business English and local languages relevant to operational countries.
Desirable Attributes
- Relevant HR certifications or qualifications.
- Experience supporting HR functions across multiple countries or regions.
- Background in employee relations support or collaboration with ER teams.
- Contributed to HR transformation initiatives or process enhancements.
