Role Overview
This position, managed on behalf of a partner organization, seeks an experienced HR professional based in the United Kingdom to serve as an HR & Compliance Coordinator. This fully remote role focuses on upholding robust people management practices and ensuring strict adherence to compliance standards in a purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive recruitment activities including job advertisements, screening applicants, conducting interviews, performing reference verifications, and handling employment paperwork.
- Oversee onboarding procedures for new hires to guarantee completion of all necessary documents, training, and orientation tasks in an efficient manner.
- Monitor and maintain compliance-related requirements such as certifications, background verifications, insurance documentation, and workforce obligations.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records for compliance, training, and employee files to maintain readiness for audits.
- Organize and administer internal and external training programs, including eLearning courses and professional development efforts.
- Coordinate workforce scheduling, including updating rosters, managing shift changes, leave coverage, and general operational alignment.
- Conduct internal audits of employee and participant records and organizational procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure continued compliance.
- Support engagement initiatives through regular check-ins, gathering feedback, recognizing employee achievements, and facilitating team communications.
- Assist with revising policies, conducting compliance evaluations, preparing reports, and managing documentation relevant to industry standards.
- Collaborate with external training partners to enhance professional development opportunities and build workforce competencies.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least three years of experience in HR, compliance, or workforce coordination roles, preferably in disability services, community services, or healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework and applicable Australian workplace laws.
- Hands-on experience handling onboarding, training coordination, employee documentation, and compliance tracking.
- Understanding of workforce awards and employment standards, including the SCHADS Award.
- Demonstrated capability in conducting internal audits, report preparation, and maintaining meticulous records for leadership assessment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills paired with a collaborative and people-oriented mindset.
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines within a remote working setup.
- Proficiency using HR and compliance software platforms along with digital tools to streamline workforce management tasks.
- Proactive and detail-focused with a strong commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and employee experience.
