Job description
Role Overview
The Human Resource Associate Partner provides essential support to management by handling various administrative and operational functions within the HR domain.
Primary Responsibilities
- Address system flags and evaluate attendance points related to unexcused absences for employees.
- Gather and organize time-off requests from managers and associates, securing necessary managerial approvals for vacations.
- Ensure accurate classification of pay and non-pay time codes including Vacation, Paid Personal Time, Voluntary Time-Off, and Lack of Work for Amazon associates.
- Implement point corrections for staffing agency personnel as directed by Amazon HR, and for Amazon associates based on instructions from site leaders or HR.
- Identify, monitor, and reconcile missing clock-in, clock-out, and lunch punch records.
- With managerial consent, resolve discrepancies linked to Time Off Task flags.
- Record orientation time punches for new hires from staffing agencies.
- Document corrective actions within the Amazon GAPS system.
- Review associates’ counseling histories to verify appropriate levels for subsequent counseling sessions and provide summaries to management to assist in termination decisions.
- Process counseling documentation for both Amazon employees and staffing agency associates, including approval tracking and printing for managerial delivery.
- Organize and distribute attendance counseling documents so managers have comprehensive sets to present.
- Display production rates throughout shifts based on a fixed schedule.
- Respond to associates’ queries regarding points and time-off balances, escalating and resolving any discrepancies with HR support.
- Support additional tasks such as conducting safety and dock audits, preparing related reports for management review.
- Assist managers with generating and maintaining production and operations reports and contribute to report development projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of six months of experience in human resources environments handling confidential matters.
- At least six months' proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
- Preferred candidates will have over one year of experience in human resources and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office applications.
