Role Overview

The Hookah Master position is a full-time, on-location opportunity responsible for preparing and maintaining hookah setups, managing charcoal usage, and ensuring consistent flavor quality throughout service hours. The role entails greeting guests, describing flavor options, suggesting mixes, and accommodating requests promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Daily tasks also include inventory monitoring, team coordination, hygiene adherence, and general support during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, pack, and maintain hookahs ensuring optimal smoke and flavor quality.
• Manage charcoal handling, timely refills, and equipment cleaning throughout service.
• Welcome guests and assist with flavor selections and hookah use instructions.
• Monitor and track stock levels for tobacco, charcoal, and accessories; report replenishment needs.
• Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in all work areas and operations.
• Collaborate with serving staff to facilitate smooth lounge functioning during peak times.
• Assist in developing new flavor mixes and enhancing guest experiences.
• Identify and communicate any equipment or supply issues to management promptly.

Candidate Qualifications

• Profound understanding of hookah preparation, flavor blending, coal management, and equipment upkeep.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality, demonstrating courteous and professional guest interaction.
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, safety protocols, and organized work practices.
• Effective communication skills with confidence engaging a varied clientele.
• Ability to be present on-site in Thrissur, including working evenings, weekends, and during peak business hours.
• Basic skills for inventory control and dependable reporting of stock requirements.
• Previous experience in a hookah lounge or similar setting is preferred; comprehensive training available for enthusiastic individuals.
• Physical aptitude to stand for long durations and manage equipment securely and skillfully.
