Head of IT (m/w/d)

About the Role

Join one of Germany's leading Customer Experience solution providers as the Head of IT. You will take comprehensive charge of all internal IT platforms, ranging from cloud environments and IT security to workplace services and AI-driven solutions. This pivotal position offers a balance of strategic direction, leadership, and hands-on execution with substantial influence over the organization's technological progress. You will collaborate closely with senior management and guide a skilled, multinational IT team to ensure seamless and innovative operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Devise and drive the IT strategy and roadmap in collaboration with company leadership.
• Lead and manage the internal IT team both technically and disciplinarily.
• Oversee budgeting, vendor relationships, licensing, and contract management within the IT domain.
• Advise company executives on all technology-related matters.
• Maintain responsibility for cloud and platform architecture (primarily Microsoft Azure).
• Ensure robust, secure, and scalable IT operations including IT and cloud security, and manage compliance around information security standards.
• Continuously develop the Information Security Management System in line with ISO/IEC 27001, and address requirements like NIS2, DORA, and TISAX.
• Oversee identity & access management as well as backup, recovery, and incident management processes.
• Advance workplace technologies such as Microsoft 365 and promote automation throughout IT processes.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, with a particular emphasis on AI tools and platforms.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience leading IT teams in roles such as Head of IT or IT Manager.
• Deep technical proficiency in Microsoft Azure and modern cloud architectures.
• Solid background in IT security, cloud security, and ISO/IEC 27001 information security management.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, identity and access management, and current workplace solutions.
• Basic understanding of AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with AI technologies in a business context.
• Fluency in both German and English.
• Structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach paired with strong communication skills and a proactive work style.
• Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Zscaler; regulatory frameworks (NIS2, DORA, TISAX); Linux, container technology, and AI platforms.
