Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Labourer to join the manufacturing team in Stratford, Ontario. This role involves working with custom wood door components, requiring mechanical knowledge and proficiency with various woodworking tools and machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain power and hand tools to assist in assembly and fabrication.
- Run and adjust Millwork machines, including blade and cutter changes and fence alignments.
- Use machining processes to manufacture precise wooden components.
- Safely handle forklift operations to move materials on site.
- Prepare weather strip caps and package finished products for shipment.
- Build components or structures according to technical blueprints or project designs.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace by following safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met.
- Apply knowledge of different wood species and their properties during work.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in assembly and millwork.
- Comfortable using power and hand tools for woodworking production.
- Capability to package finished goods appropriately for shipping purposes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Strong physical fitness to perform demanding labor-intensive tasks throughout the shift.
- Commitment to workplace safety standards at all times.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Additional Information
Compensation is $23.00 per hour. The position may include fixed-term contract or casual employment types. Immediate openings are available with prompt consideration for applicants. The selection process may incorporate AI tools.
