General Cashier

Role Overview

This role involves verifying entries for accuracy, ensuring correct coding, and maintaining all financial documents securely as per company policies. The General Cashier will manage cash and equivalents, and handle computerized financial data including classification, coding, and summarization of numerical information using journals, ledgers, or computer systems. The position is responsible for completing period-end closings and reports as required.

Key Duties

• Audit cashier banks regularly in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain and document petty cash, cashier banks, and contracts thoroughly.
• Record, communicate, and resolve all cash discrepancies following SOP guidelines.
• Serve as the point of contact between the property and armored car services or main banking institutions.
• Participate actively in internal, external, and regulatory audits ensuring compliance with SOPs.
• Comply with all company policies, maintain professional appearance, uphold confidentiality, and safeguard company assets and privacy of guests and coworkers.
• Engage in effective communication, prepare and review documents accurately, and maintain professional etiquette during telephone communication.
• Foster positive work relationships, support teamwork, and appropriately respond to colleagues' concerns.
• Physically manage objects weighing up to 10 pounds as part of job duties.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum education required is a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a similar role is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• No specific licenses or certifications are mandatory.
