General Assembly Process Engineering Internship - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

Position Overview

Join Tesla's General Assembly Process Engineering team at the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg. This six-month full-time internship, starting in August or September 2026, is located onsite in Grünheide, Brandenburg, Germany. The team handles all processes from painted body to the fully assembled vehicle, focusing on optimizing processing methods, enhancing cycle times, reducing downtime, cutting costs, and improving overall vehicle quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of Process Engineering tasks and process steps.
• Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining quality metrics and contribute to strategies improving General Assembly system quality.
• Design clear and impactful presentations to communicate analytical outcomes.
• Support the development and standardization of work instructions.
• Gain practical experience in assembling prototype vehicles and sub-assemblies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve intricate quality challenges.

Candidate Profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering disciplines such as Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Familiarity with Catia V5 and AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Fluent proficiency in English is required.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or SQL is considered a plus.
• Strong ability to analyze and improve processes systematically.
