Role Overview

This full-time position located in Auckland requires the housekeeper to ensure guest rooms and shared areas meet stringent cleanliness and hygiene standards. Responsibilities encompass dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, changing bed linens, restocking amenities, and managing linen and towel laundry. Organizing supplies, reporting maintenance concerns, and adhering to safety protocols are also essential. The individual will professionally engage with guests and colleagues, fostering a positive environment and may contribute to training new housekeeping personnel.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in housekeeping and laundry operations, including linen handling and utilizing basic laundry machinery.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities for guest and team interaction.
• Strong organizational aptitude for task prioritization and supply management.
• Compliance with training instructions, procedures, and safety policies; ability to assist in onboarding.
• Hospitality or housekeeping experience is advantageous.
• Physically capable of performing duties requiring prolonged standing, lifting moderate weights, and safe handling of cleaning supplies.
• Keen attention to detail ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Flexible to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays as dictated by the hotel's needs.
