Role overview

This freelance contract is for editing a creator onboarding video series intended for the German market. The project includes 10 short videos, each about 2 to 5 minutes long. The English versions are already complete and built from templates, and your job will be to localize them while preserving the existing look and feel.

You will work with provided German voiceovers, revise the on-screen copy, and update visuals where necessary so the final output matches the original style. All needed source materials — including templates, overlays, and voice files — will be supplied. The first step is to complete one trial video for approval, and the rest of the series will follow if the client is satisfied.

The client is looking for someone with strong attention to detail and hands-on experience adapting video content for audiences who speak another language.

Responsibilities

Complete the editing and final polish for 10 onboarding videos tailored to the German market using the supplied assets and template set
Insert the German voiceovers, update any on-screen wording, and adjust imagery so it aligns with the English reference versions
Keep the videos visually consistent in style, timing, and branding across the full series
Work with the project team to incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed
Create and submit a trial video for review before moving ahead with the remaining edits
Organize project files and maintain a clean workflow to support smooth delivery

Requirements

Previous video editing experience, ideally on localization or content adaptation work
Working knowledge of standard editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
Good understanding of the German language and how cultural context affects media content
Comfort following preset templates and brand rules
Strong eye for detail and a consistent focus on quality
Clear communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines
Experience handling voiceovers, animated overlays, and text-based edits on video
Ability to start with a trial edit quickly and continue with the full assignment after approval
