Role Overview

This freelance Creative Writing Teacher role is a 1099 contract, fully remote position designed for educators seeking flexible teaching opportunities and passive income. Instructors can choose to conduct one or multiple courses weekly, decide the duration (e.g., 7 or 8 weeks), set class size limits, and price their courses independently. Ray of Light Wellness will handle marketing, student enrollment, and platform management. Compensation includes 70% of course profits to the teacher and 30% retained by the company. This position offers increased online exposure, leveraging Ray of Light’s substantial social media following.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative writing course curricula tailored to diverse learners
• Conduct virtual creative writing classes fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment
• Motivate and guide students in enhancing their writing abilities
• Provide constructive and personalized feedback to support student growth

Qualifications

• Skilled in lesson planning and creating engaging educational materials
• Experienced instructor capable of teaching students from varied backgrounds
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective virtual engagement
• Background in training or mentoring in creative or educational settings
• Strong organizational and time management capabilities
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Education, Creative Writing, English, or related field; master’s preferred
• Prior experience teaching creative writing highly advantageous
