Founding Content Creator

About the Role

Sentry AI, a fast-growing AI agency located in Eden Terrace, Auckland, is seeking a Founding Content Creator to spearhead its content strategy and development. This role focuses on creating organic, founder-driven short-form content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. As the company's second hire, you will collaborate daily with the founder, helping direct and produce content alongside your own creations.

Responsibilities

• Manage Sentry's presence on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn in full: plan content calendars, film, edit, publish, and analyze performance metrics.
• Deliver daily short-form content showcasing office culture, transparent engineering development, and featuring the founder and engineering team as ongoing personalities.
• Assist the founder with content direction — developing angles, optimizing hooks, filming, and editing.
• Document the progress of key internal projects including the company's AI brain, voice agents, and the New Zealand-specific AI model under development.
• Create street interviews around Auckland to capture public perspectives on AI.
• Develop and refine repeatable content formats by eliminating ineffective ones and emphasizing high-performing styles.

Technology & Tools

• Content capture tools including iPhones and wireless microphones; company funds equipment as justified.
• Distribute short-form content across social platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.
• Integrate AI tools like Claude, ElevenLabs, as well as image and video generation models into the content creation process.

Candidate Profile

• Ambitious individual looking to develop both the Sentry brand and their own personal brand through visible content.
• Proven content creator with evidence of past success, such as a personal page, managed brand, or viral video.
• Comfortable appearing on camera with engaging personality suitable for recurring appearances.
• Understanding of effective content hooks that retain viewer attention beyond initial seconds.
• Ability to turn around content quickly, posting the same day as filming.
• Genuine interest and curiosity about AI technology; ability to explain complex AI concepts in approachable terms.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and available to work onsite in Eden Terrace 2 to 3 days per week, adaptable to filming requirements.

Desirable Skills

• Experience growing social media accounts from inception with insight into strategies that drove success.
• Advanced editing skills including motion graphics, captioning, and sound design.
• Experience with street interviews or presenting on camera.
• Background or strong interest in technology or artificial intelligence.

Compensation & Growth

• Starting salary of NZ$60,000 per year, with rapid increases based on achieving social growth milestones agreed upon mutually.
