About M Moser
M Moser was established in 1981 by three founders and has since grown into a global organization of about 1,300 architects, designers, MEPF engineers, commercial managers, construction professionals, and project leaders operating from more than 30 offices worldwide. While the firm works across major regions, it does not have offices in South America; however, it has delivered projects there, particularly in Brazil.
The company’s main focus is workplace facilities. Historically, this has meant corporate interiors, but the practice is now increasingly involved in workplace buildings from the ground up. Projects typically range from 20,000 sq. ft. to 1,500,000 sq. ft., and clients usually rely on M Moser for end-to-end AEC and project management support, including design, architecture, engineering, commercial delivery, project leadership, and the wider execution needed to bring workplace environments to life.
A defining trait of the firm is its client-first approach and the long-term trust it has earned from repeat clients across industries and geographies. Internally, the phrase “WE SELL HELP” reflects the company’s belief that its value lies in helping clients solve complex workplace challenges through clear thinking, strong design, sound engineering, coordinated delivery, commercial control, and confidence throughout the project lifecycle.
The company remains led by its founders, who continue to be highly entrepreneurial and directly involved. Although they are now in their 70s, they are still actively shaping the business and are driving a renewed shift toward a stronger hybrid human/AI organization. M Moser sees AI as an essential part of the next evolution of professional practice, with the potential to improve judgment, workflow quality, visual thinking, project coordination, commercial clarity, and delivery discipline while preserving accountability.
Why this AI Tech Team exists
M Moser is creating its AI Tech Team because it believes the future of professional services will increasingly belong to hybrid human/AI professionals and to AI systems that can handle more agent-like tasks. In this context, a hybrid human/AI professional is not someone who simply uses AI tools casually, but someone whose thinking, workflow structure, visual interpretation, analysis, communication, and overall effectiveness are meaningfully strengthened by AI while human judgment remains central.
As AI moves beyond basic prompting into a more agentic phase, the company wants people who can help redesign workflows, structure decisions, coordinate work more effectively, and build repeatable methods that improve real professional practice.
Role overview
The Forward Deployed Engineer is the part of the AI Tech Team that stays closest to active professional work. This role works alongside architects, engineers, project directors, commercial leaders, and construction professionals to observe how work is actually done, identify opportunities where AI can deliver practical value, and turn those observations into tools, workflows, and increasingly agent-supported methods that can scale across the organization.
This is a practice-embedded builder role focused on useful outcomes and on connecting real work with AI systems. It is not a remote innovation lab position, not a project delivery role, and not a substitute for design or engineering professionals. The person in this role does not perform project work directly; instead, they learn from project work and help build capability around it.
Core mission
As AI becomes more agentic, the emphasis shifts from simple prompting to redesigning processes, structuring decisions, improving coordination, and creating repeatable ways of working. The role is expected to help answer practical questions such as how design teams can evaluate options more effectively, how engineers can make decisions more clearly, how project leaders can review issues better, and how commercial clarity can be strengthened.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with project teams to study real workflows and understand how work is carried out in practice.
- Spot opportunities where AI can deliver tangible, day-to-day value.
- Build tools, workflows, and agent patterns that support better execution.
- Convert local observations into capabilities that can be applied across the firm.
- Work in coordination with the Central AI Platform R&D Group.
- Share effective methods through the Help Desk so they can be adopted more widely.
Additional information
Location is Singapore, and the specific location within the country is flexible. The role is described as full-time and remote in the source, and the position sits within a broader AI Tech Team focused on human/AI collaboration and agentic workflow design.
