Food Services Supervisor

Job Overview

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in Doha, Qatar, is seeking a Food Services Supervisor to ensure top-quality guest service by fostering teamwork among staff and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. This role involves daily operational tasks such as managing supplies, enforcing hygiene and dress codes, overseeing inventory using FIFO method, and supporting maintenance tasks. The supervisor will also coordinate seating availability, guest safety, and well-being in dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the team works cohesively to deliver excellent service meeting guest needs.
• Inspect personal hygiene and attire of staff, correcting deficiencies.
• Carry out opening and closing procedures including organizing supplies and securing premises.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas using FIFO principles.
• Complete scheduled inventories and manage supply orders.
• Monitor seating, service flow, safety, and guest comfort in dining spaces.
• Create work orders for maintenance repairs when necessary.
• Assist management with hiring, training, organizing, evaluating, advising, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff; act as a role model and first contact for fair treatment policies.
• Adhere to company safety policies, report maintenance and safety issues, complete safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional uniform and appearance.
• Protect company property and confidential information.
• Support colleagues respectfully and collaboratively to meet shared goals.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting/moving objects up to 50 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, and navigating confined or elevated spaces.
• Greet and recognize guests per company standards and communicate professionally.
• Handle other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• At least two years of relevant work experience in a similar setting.
• Minimum one year of supervisory experience.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
