Role Overview

A Food Runner at Gator’s Dockside plays a vital role in ensuring all food served meets quality and presentation standards. Responsibilities include food preparation, garnishing, plating, and managing food delivery while maintaining strict food safety certification requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize food items, ensuring adherence to plating and presentation guidelines set by trainers and corporate policies.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen common areas, including trash, sinks, floors, walls, shelves, refrigerators, coolers, ice machines, and soda machines.
• Engage courteously with management and co-workers to efficiently perform assigned duties and provide exceptional dining experiences for guests.
• Assist with additional kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, food portioning, prepping ingredients, and cleaning both kitchen and dining areas.
• Support servers by delivering drinks and supplemental items, seating guests, bussing tables, and cleaning dining rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
• Understand and follow specific opening and closing procedures relevant to their work station, completing them accurately and promptly as directed.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and politely, delivering concerns or feedback to management when necessary.
• Contribute to maintaining cleanliness of all common restaurant areas including floors, walls, doors, windows, furniture, drink stations, machines, and carpets.
• Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness at all times to meet company standards.

Additional Information

Food Runners are expected to hold a current food safety certification and are integral in creating a welcoming dining atmosphere through their interactions and service quality.
