About the Role
Star Construction LLC is seeking a Flagging professional dedicated to facilitating safe travel around active public worksites by managing traffic control duties effectively.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic flow at construction zones using hand signals and paddles.
- Set up essential safety equipment including flags, cones, signs, and markers.
- Assist with general construction tasks under the guidance of supervisors as required.
- Adhere to company policies for safe vehicle operation and maintenance, including cleaning company vehicles and equipment.
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal Department of Transportation regulations.
- Perform duties in diverse weather conditions and fulfill additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
- Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or relevant job experience.
- Hold a valid non-provisional state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous flagging experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Frequently work independently in remote locations, operate vehicles, perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting 10-25 pounds, and fine motor functions.
- Occasionally required to lift between 26-55 pounds and work with arms above shoulder level.
