Role Overview

The Fire Protection Specialist position requires full-time, on-site presence in Dubai. Responsibilities encompass crafting, examining, and enforcing fire protection and prevention plans within HVAC and ventilation projects, ensuring full adherence to pertinent regulations, international standards, and company protocols. Daily duties include performing site inspections and risk analyses, managing the deployment and upkeep of fire suppression systems and extinguishers, and ensuring their seamless integration with ventilation solutions. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, and contractors is vital to produce technical documentation, fire safety strategies, and emergency protocols. Additional tasks include delivering training on fire safety to site personnel, monitoring system efficacy, recommending enhancements, and aiding audits and certifications related to fire safety.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in fire prevention and safety, including risk evaluation, regulatory compliance, and emergency procedure development.
• Expertise in fire protection engineering, particularly designing and assessing fire protection measures integrated with HVAC/ventilation frameworks.
• Competence with fire suppression systems covering specification, supervision of installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of fire extinguisher selection, deployment, inspection, and conducting user training.
• Possession of a relevant technical degree or diploma such as Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or similar.
• Familiarity with international and regional fire codes and standards, including NFPA and UAE Fire Code, plus experience on commercial or industrial large-scale projects.
• Strong capabilities in analysis, documentation, and reporting, along with fluency in fire protection system design and documentation tools.
