About the Role
Our client, a global financial institution, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. This is a contract position requiring hybrid work arrangement with three days per week in-office attendance.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of professional experience in relevant roles
- Strong background in Loans as Product Controllers
- Preferred experience in accounting within investment banking
- Competence in project management complemented by excellent communication and writing skills
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and automation for IFRS lending accounting
- Gather and document business and accounting requirements by collaborating with Product Control, LEC, and Accounting Policy teams
- Evaluate IFRS lending accounting treatments and contrast them with existing US GAAP processes to identify differences in reporting, valuation, and disclosures
- Assist senior Product Owner with defining accounting requirements, business rules, and functional specifications aimed at automation
- Collaborate closely with IT teams for designing, implementing, and testing system solutions
- Support user acceptance testing, troubleshoot issues, and secure business approvals
- Manage project governance including preparing updates on progress, decisions, risks, and milestones for senior leadership
- Document accounting positions, the reasoning behind them, and any assessments regarding US GAAP to IFRS differences not corrected via system updates
