Key Deliverables
This role demands maintenance of financial controls and the preparation of accounts adhering to IFRS standards. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving monthly payroll and DEWS calculations. The position requires managing revenue and advisory computations including invoicing and RM performance reports. Accurate preparation and submission of regulatory returns, such as Quarterly and Annual PIB and VAT, are essential. Comprehensive MAS reporting procedures must be maintained to comply with MAS guidelines. The role includes designing and implementing accounting systems, internal controls, and other financial processes. Timely completion of both internal and external audits is mandatory.
Risk Management
Treasury management forms part of the responsibilities. You will monitor the progress on remedial actions addressing control weaknesses found by internal audits, self-testing, or control assessments. The development and tracking of key risk indicators mapped to various risks are required to proactively identify and mitigate risk escalations.
Compliance & Control
Ensuring strict adherence to all applicable laws, rules, policies, procedures, and standards communicated by the business is key to this position.

Staying updated with relevant laws and regulatory changes is expected alongside embodying core values such as accountability, commitment, and teamwork.
Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of MAS regulatory reporting requirements.
- Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Expertise in bookkeeping, closing books, prepayments, and fixed asset schedules.
- Providing professional back-office support to customers and vendors.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced understanding of IFRS and its impact on accounting records.
- Effective multitasking and time management with priority setting capabilities.
Experience
A minimum of 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in banking or financial institutions is required.
