Finance Manager

Job Overview

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations at JobsAICopilot, including budgeting, forecasting, and managing cash flow. This role is part-time and based in Berlin, Germany, offering hybrid work flexibility with some work-from-home options.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards.
• Provide management with data-driven financial insights.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end closing activities.
• Monitor expenses and revenues to maintain financial health.
• Uphold internal controls and collaborate with external accountants and advisors for compliance and audits.
• Support strategic financial planning and assess financial risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to process improvements within a dynamic tech startup environment.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Proficient in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Experienced in accounting and reporting such as general ledger management, preparation of financial statements, and reconciliations.
• Skilled in financial modeling and conducting data analysis using Excel or similar spreadsheet tools; familiarity with BI or analytics platforms is a plus.
• Knowledgeable in cash flow and treasury management, including expense monitoring and basic liquidity or investment planning.
• Understanding of compliance and risk management, including financial regulations, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Prior experience in finance roles within startups or technology companies is advantageous.
• Educational background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related disciplines is preferred; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CFA are beneficial.
• Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills for simplifying complex financial data.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid setup based in Berlin with cross-functional collaboration across different locations.
• English proficiency required; knowledge of German is desirable but not compulsory.
